Signal detection plays a decisive role in many applications, such as spectroscopic measuring operations. Especially in fringe ranges with minimal signal, it is important that the detector forms a perfect unit with the downstream amplifier electronics. This is the only way for the user to ascertain that he is actually detecting the measuring signal and not the noise of the detector or the electronics. A self-construction is often not sufficient in these cases. This is why LINOS offers the photo receivers of the PR.X series. The photo receiver PR.X offers high amplification with lowest noise and optimum bandwidth. The individual components like photo diode, operation amplifier as well as resistors were selected with utmost care and assembled to a powerful photo receiver with a special electronics design. This makes the extensive and costly application of photo multipliers or similar devices obsolete for many applications. The PR.X1000 also convinces with its high degree of variability. Thanks to the switchable amplification, it is possible to easily detect signals in a range from fW up to mW.
